You will be picked up by Usoke Explorer’s representative from your location or meet-up point in Kampala/Entebbe. You will be briefed about the trip and start your 1-day CTC Conservation Center tour. Along the way enjoy sighting on the beauty of Uganda and the local people as they do their day to day activities. Time for lunch will be fixed.
On reaching the center, a briefing and gates will be opened, you are warmly welcomed by the woofs, barks, grants, crows, the roars and other indistinct sounds here and there. The grassy smell of the area, air steaming in from the other side if the hill, this is truly the liveliest welcome ever, it is every wildlife lover’s dream. You will stand in owe as you gaze at the center’s environment. In confusion of where to start out of the many awaiting you to explore, the guides at the center will pick a schedule and they usually save the best for last, which increases the yearning and love for more.
Before the sunset you’ll have had an encounter with all the centre’s wildlife like African Painted Dogs, Skinks, Spotted Hyenas, Iguanas, Black Backed Jackals, Palm Civets, Caracal Cats, Oribis, Tortoises, Chameleons, snakes, bush babies, zebras, lion, crocodile, serval, African Golden cat, waterbucks, Kobs, Donkeys to mention but a few
What beats an embrace of baby lions, these adorable baby lions at CTC Conservation Center are joyous, playful and full of life though they originate from a violent clan, it don’t stop them from pouring love into visitors. They are surprisingly Cuddly.
You will closely encounter the Bat-eared foxes, these species originate from the African savannahs, they were named because if their large ears. You will be given their container with their foot and fall in love while watching them dug in the container to eat from your hands.
Get personal with the zebras and other non-carnivorous mammals like water bucks, Kobs, donkeys which is rewarding but the eye-catching vegetation and the whole environment in the section is worth a visit. Visiting the zebra section is like a picturesque stroll through grasslands as you gaze at the undulating hills that set the stage for breathtaking Skyline. you will awe with joy when given a chance to feed and sight on these species.
Have you ever encountered a cat that is twice or thrice bigger than your house cat? well at the center you will meet the African Golden Cats, they are natives of the west and Central African rain forest. These cats are listed in the IUNC Red list as Vulnerable. They are close cousins of the Serval cats that you will also encounter with at the center. You can tread the territories of the Serval and when you rub the genie lamp the right way, you will be rewarded an opportunity for a quick photo with it.
After the full day of witnessing the majestic grace of endangered species and encapsulating inspiring moments that creat memories that will last for an era. Retreat back to Kampala/ Entebbe or either continue with your safari to other destinations depending on your programs.
