Detailed Itinerary of 3 days Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

On your first day of 3 days Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari, You will be picked up from a hotel in Kampala or residence and start your transfer to Lake Mburo National Park in the western region. The first stop over will be at the equator for some experiments and stand in both the world’s hemispheres at ago. En-route to the park along the way, you will gaze in awe at the Savannah grasslands dotted with settlement, banana plantations, the long horned Ankole cattle popular in the region.

Upon reaching the park, have lunch served and immediately after head for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo in the park where you will spot a number of water species like hippos, crocodiles and countless bird species. After the cruise go for a game drive which gives you a chance to get a close encounter with the park’s wildlife like zebras, hippos, crocodiles, islands, antelopes, impala name it and a variety of bird life. Later transfer to a booked lodge of your choice for dinner and a night stay.

Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day 2 of 3 days Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari, After a very early breakfast, head to the park for a morning game drive to get another gaze at the park’s wildlife and also encounter those you would have missed on the evening drive. Your guide will drive towards the Mburo Rwonyo Head quarter to spot hyenas coming back to their dens after hunting and hippos walking back to the waters. Possible sighting includes zebras, giraffes, impala, Uganda Kobs, leopards, Elands, buffaloes. After the drive head back to the lodge and pack your luggage as you say your last goodbyes to lake Mburo National Park and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park.

Upon arrival at the park, immediately go for a 2 hours boat cruise on the Kazinga channel where you will get close to the park’s water animals like hippos, crocodiles plus elephants and bird species at the shores. After the boat cruise, go to Lake Katwe for an hour of salt mining experience with locals. Afterwards, head to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

On the last day of 3 days Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari, After breakfast, check out the lodge and drive to the Kasenyi trail for sightings on wild animals like Elephants, lions, Uganda Kobs, Antelopes and more. After retreat to Kampala with en-route lunch.
