Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel, your safari guide will pick you up and begin the scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. En route, enjoy a photo stop at the Equator in Kayabwe, experience the polar water demonstration, and have lunch in Mbarara. The drive takes approximately 8 hours, passing through Uganda’s lush countryside with views of rolling hills and terraced farmlands. Arrive in Bwindi by evening and check in at your lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Enjoy an early breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. After being assigned a gorilla family group, begin your trek into the misty forest. The trek can take 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas, and the terrain can be steep and muddy. Once found, spend one magical hour observing and photographing them in their natural habitat. Watch the silverback survey his family, mothers cradle their infants, and juveniles tumble through the undergrowth. Return to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 3: Transfer to Entebbe – Fly to Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, transfer back to Entebbe (approximately 8-hour drive) in time for your evening flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Upon arrival, meet your Tanzanian guide and transfer to your hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Drive to Ngorongoro – Walking Safari
Meet your driver-guide and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey takes you through the Great Rift Valley, offering stunning views of the escarpment and the valley floor. Participate in a guided walking safari, gaining close encounters with wildlife and insights into animal tracking. This is an intimate experience that allows you to connect with the bush on a deeper level.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
Descend 600 metres into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for a thrilling game drive. The crater floor supports approximately 25,000 large mammals, including lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, hippos, wildebeests, and flamingoes. This is one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five in a single morning. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pools before continuing your exploration. Return to the lodge in the evening.

Day 6: Transfer to Serengeti – Afternoon Game Drive
After breakfast, journey to the iconic Serengeti National Park. The drive takes you through the Ngorongoro Highlands, with stunning views and wildlife sightings along the way. Check into your lodge and head out for a late afternoon game drive in search of the Big Five and other spectacular wildlife. The Serengeti is home to the Great Migration and the highest concentration of predators in Africa.

Day 7: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti
Spend a full day exploring the Seronera region, known for its abundance of big cats and diverse wildlife. The Seronera Valley is one of the best places in Africa for predator sightings, with lions, leopards, and cheetahs regularly spotted. Enjoy lunch at the Visitor Centre and continue game drives to the Kopjes, famous granite outcrops teeming with miniature ecosystems. The Kopjes are home to hyraxes, lizards, and occasionally leopards.

Day 8: Cross Border – Transfer to Masai Mara
After breakfast, depart with packed lunch to the Isebania border. Clear immigration and meet your Kenyan guide. Proceed to the Masai Mara, enjoying en-route game viewing along the way. The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most famous wildlife reserve, home to the Big Five and the stage for the Great Migration. Arrive at your lodge in the evening.

Day 9: Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara
Enjoy an early breakfast and a full-day game drive across the Masai Mara Plains with your packed lunch. The Mara is famous for its high density of big cats, lions, leopards, and cheetahs are regularly spotted. Other wildlife includes elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and numerous antelope species. If traveling during migration season (July to October), you may witness the dramatic river crossings of wildebeest and zebras at the Mara River.

Day 10: Maasai Cultural Experience – Departure
After breakfast, check out and enjoy a final game drive as you exit the park. Stop for a Maasai Cultural Experience to learn about local traditions, dances, and way of life.
