Detailed Travel Plan
Day 1
Arrive in Kigali and meet your guide. Transfer to a hotel for a welcome dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2
After breakfast, enjoy a guided Kigali city tour visiting the Genocide Memorial and craft markets. Drive southwest through lush hills to Nyungwe Forest. Check into your lodge and relax.
Day 3
Early breakfast, then head into Nyungwe Forest for chimpanzee trekking. Hike through montane rainforest spotting monkeys, birds, and forest flora. Afternoon return to lodge and optional canopy walk.
Day 4
Depart Nyungwe after breakfast and drive north to Volcanoes National Park, enjoying scenic stops along terraced hills. Arrive at your lodge with views of the Virunga Volcanoes.
Day 5
Early morning gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. Spend up to one hour with a habituated gorilla family. Afternoon at leisure or guided forest walk.
Day 6
Visit a nearby cultural village to meet local families, learn traditional crafts, and observe daily life. Optional short hikes or photography sessions.
Day 7
Transfer back to Kigali, with optional market stops, then drop-off at the airport for departure.
