Here, you’ll relax after your flight and prepare for the adventure ahead. In the evening, you’ll meet your experienced mountain guide for a comprehensive briefing. You’ll receive expert advice on what to pack, wear, and expect on the mountain — ensuring you’re fully equipped for the days to come.

Day 02 : Machame Gate (1,800 m) – Machame Camp (2,835 m)

Your journey begins! After breakfast, your guide will drive you to Machame Gate — the starting point of your Kilimanjaro ascent. The trail winds through a rich rainforest filled with exotic flora and possibly colobus monkeys. Today’s 5–6 hour trek is a steady uphill climb to Machame Camp, situated just above the forest zone in a moorland area. This is your first night at altitude, so stay hydrated and rest well.

Day 03 : Machame Camp – Shira Camp (3,839 m)

Today’s trail is steeper and more physically demanding, but richly rewarding. You’ll pass a scenic ridge and reach Picnic Rock, where you’ll enjoy magnificent views of Kibo and Shira Peaks. Afterward, the trail leads you across a moorland landscape to Shira Camp, where you’ll rest. For those adjusting to the altitude, an optional acclimatization hike to Lava Tower is available.

This critical acclimatization day takes you to high altitude at Lava Tower, where you’ll stop for lunch and allow your body to adjust. Barranco Camp rests at the foot of the impressive Barranco Wall, setting the stage for tomorrow’s challenge.

After breakfast, tackle the thrilling Barranco Wall — a steep but exhilarating scramble rewarded with sweeping views.
