Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Welcome to Rwanda. Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, our agent will welcome you. You will then begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda.The drive takes 4–5 hours, crossing the border at Cyanika or Katuna. Your guide will assist with
immigration on both sides. The route winds through Rwanda’s beautiful hills and into Uganda’s Kigezi Highlands. Arrive at Gorilla Mist Camp in the late afternoon. Settle into your tent, enjoy the forest views, and listen to the sounds of the jungle. Dinner is served at the camp. Your guide will provide abriefing on tomorrow’s gorilla trek.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Wake early for breakfast. Pack your daypack with essentials: packed lunch, water, rain jacket, gardening gloves, long-sleeved shirt, long trousers, and camera (no flash).Drive to the park headquarters for registration and briefing. If you are unwell, you will not be permitted to trek – gorillas are susceptible to human diseases. After briefing, you will be assigned to a gorilla family and divided into groups of eight. Each
group is led by an experienced park ranger and armed trackers. Enter the Impenetrable Forest. The trek lasts 1–6 hours depending on where the gorillas have moved. Once you locate the family, you will have one unforgettable hour with them. Observe the silverback, mothers with infants, juveniles playing, and the group interacting. The eye-to-eye connection with a mountain gorilla – sharing 98% of human DNA – is profound and
life-changing. Return to the trailhead for your trekking certificate. Your driver-guide will take you back to the
camp for lunch. Afternoon: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi – Africa’s second-deepest lake. It is bilharzia-free and safe
for swimming. Check into Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort. The remainder of the afternoon is yours for optional activities (additional cost) swimming,
canoeing, boat ride to Punishment Island, community visit to Bakiga and Batwa villages. Dinner is served at the resort.

Day 3: Transfer to Kigali Airport
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kigali International Airport (4–5 hours, including border crossing). Enjoy the scenic views of the Kigezi Highlands and Rwanda’s famous hills one last time. Optional Kigali City Tour – time permitting: Arrange with your guide in advance.Kigali Genocide Memorial, Caplaki Craft Village, Kimironko Market, Presidential Palace Museum Your driver-guide will drop you off at the airport in time for your flight check-in.
