Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive south toward the Tanzania border. The journey takes approximately 4 to 5 hours, passing through the Athi Plains and into the savannah landscape that surrounds Amboseli. On clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro appears on the horizon, its snow-capped peak rising 5,895 metres above the plains.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, settling in before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds some of the biggest tuskers in Africa roam these plains. As the sun begins to drop, the light turns golden, offering perfect conditions for photography with Kilimanjaro as a backdrop.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drives in Amboseli
Wake early for a sunrise game drive when the wildlife is most active and Kilimanjaro is at its clearest. The open plains and swamps of Amboseli support a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and numerous antelope species. The park is also home to over 400 bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and relax through the heat of the day. In the afternoon, head out for another game drive, exploring different sectors of the park. The swamps of Enkongo Narok and Olokenya attract large concentrations of elephants and buffaloes, providing excellent viewing opportunities. Observation Hill offers a panoramic view of the entire park with Kilimanjaro in the distance.

Day 3: Amboseli to Nairobi
Enjoy a final early morning game drive as the sun rises over the savannah. The morning light offers excellent photographic opportunities, with elephants and other wildlife framed against the mountain. Return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Depart Amboseli and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for your onward journey.
