Day 01 : Pick up and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or accommodation in Kampala/Entebbe by a professional English-speaking guide from Usoke Explorers. After a briefing, you will embark on an 8-hour scenic drive via the Masaka-Mbarara highway.

  • Stop 1: The Equator – Take photos and witness the famous water experiment demonstrating the hemispheric division of the Earth.
  • Stop 2: Mbarara – Enjoy a delicious lunch en route before continuing to Bwindi.

Upon arrival in the evening, check in at your preferred budget accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02 : Gorilla Trekking & Community Walk to the Batwa Community

Wake up early for a hearty breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. At 8:30 AM, you will begin the trek in search of the mountain gorillas, an adventure that can last 2-6 hours, depending on the gorilla group’s location.

Important Notes:

  • The thick jungle vegetation requires trekking sticks (available for hire at the HQ).
  • A rain jacket is recommended as the weather is unpredictable.
  • Proper hiking boots are essential for the steep terrain.
  • Upon finding the gorillas, you will have one full hour to observe and photograph them (non-flash cameras only).

After the trek, you will receive a gorilla trekking certificate, recognizing your contribution to gorilla conservation.

In the afternoon, enjoy a cultural walk to the nearby Batwa Community, the indigenous people of Bwindi. Experience their unique way of life, traditional dances, and storytelling before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
