Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala – Nakuru in Kenya

You will be picked up from your accommodation in Kampala at approximately 6:00 AM and begin the drive toward Kenya. The journey takes you through the scenic Ugandan countryside, past lush farmlands, rolling hills, and traditional villages.

After completing border formalities at the Busia or Malaba border crossing, continue through western Kenya to Nakuru Town, arriving in the evening. Nakuru is a bustling town in the Great Rift Valley, offering a convenient stopover before continuing to the Masai Mara.

Day 2: Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, depart Nakuru and drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve, approximately 4 to 5 hours away. The journey takes you through the Great Rift Valley, offering stunning views of the escarpment and the valley floor below. The landscape gradually transforms into the rolling savannah plains of the Mara.

On arrival, check in at your camp and enjoy lunch. Later in the afternoon, head out for an evening game drive, searching for elephants, lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffes, wildebeests, and antelopes. The golden light of the late afternoon creates perfect conditions for photography.
