Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – City & Historical Tour
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you are welcomed and transferred to your hotel.
Later, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial for an insightful introduction to Rwanda’s history and resilience. The afternoon includes local craft markets and a guided city drive.
Overnight in Kigali.
Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, drive north through Rwanda’s scenic countryside toward Volcanoes National Park (approx. 2.5 hours).
Afternoon at leisure or optional nature walk around Musanze town.
Overnight near the park.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Early transfer to park headquarters for briefing. You will be assigned a habituated gorilla family and trek through bamboo forest and volcanic slopes.
Once located, spend one hour observing the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat — a deeply moving wildlife encounter.
Return to lodge for relaxation.
Day 4: Cultural Immersion & Community Tourism
Visit the Batwa community, learning about indigenous forest survival traditions.
Continue to the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village for traditional dance, storytelling, and insight into Rwanda’s pre-colonial monarchy.
Overnight near Volcanoes.
Day 5: Return to Kigali & Departure
After breakfast, transfer back to Kigali for departure or optional lunch stop.
