In This 14 days  Great Apes and Safari of Uganda & Rwanda, you will embark on an adventure of a lifetime as you explore the jungles of Rwanda and Uganda in pursuit of the last great apes and other wild life beasts.

Our Usoke Explores Safari Expert will accompany you on your treks to follow endangered golden monkeys, gorillas, and chimpanzees.
Discover gorilla conservation initiatives by visiting the Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Campus, the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund Kairisoke Research Centre in Musanze in Volcanoes National Park.
We will get up close and personal with the powerful and enchanted primates of the jungles in Bwindi Forest National Park, Kibale National Park, Volcanoes National Park, and the Great Kyambura Gorge, which is home to some of the region’s most remarkable wildlife and chimpanzees, during this Greatest Apes Safari in Uganda and Rwanda.
We will encounter some of the world’s most remarkable primates on an 14-day tour of the great apes and safari of Uganda and Rwanda, not just in the East African jungles but also in Queen Elizabeth National Park and Akagera National park. The Kazinga Channel,Lake Ihema a secret for the wildlife in this area, is where you will exit your jeeps and cruise.

Day 1–2: Get to Entebbe, Uganda.

Day 3–4;Kibale National Park

Day 5–6: Queen Elizabeth National Park | Kibale National Park

Days 7–8: The Impenetrable National Park of Bwindi

Days 9 – 10; Volcanoes National Park

Day 11-12: Volcanoes National Park-Akagera National park

Day 13-14 Full day Akagera-kigal international airport.

Day 1–2: Get to Entebbe, Uganda.

When you arrive in Entebbe, our Usoke Explores Primate Expert will greet you and give you a brief overview of your journey. On the second day, you will be taken to the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, where you will spend time with the chimps and assist with their care. At the Epitome of Conservation, this is Sanctuary, in collaboration with the JaneGoodall Institute, where you will learn about the orphaned chimps’ fascinating journeys to this paradise they now call home.

Day 3–4;Kibale National Park

After boarding a caravan and traveling through Kibale National Park from Entebbe to Kasese, check into your accommodations and get ready for our Usoke Explore Primate Expert to brief you on our chimp trekking trip. After taking a walk through the renowned Bigodi Swamp, where you will see other primates in the neighborhood, go on to Kibale National Park on the second day to look for the chimps.

Day 5–6: Queen Elizabeth National Park | Kibale National Park
On the second day, go on another Chimp Trekking session before heading to Queen Elizabeth for a safari in the Medley of Wonders in the afternoon. Get the chance to look for lions, leopards, elephants, and other animals. Take a boat to the Kazinga Channel, the wilderness’s water supply, on the second day.

Days 7–8: The Impenetrable National Park of Bwindi
Start your journey to Bwindi’s Impenetrable National Park, home to the remaining half of the world’s mountain gorillas, on this Great Apes of Uganda & Rwanda. The following day is the start of your gorilla trekking adventure. You will enter the park’s verdant forests to sit with these gentle giants and get up close and personal with one of the most endangered animals on the globe.

Days 9 – 10; Volcanoes National Park 
We travel from Uganda to Rwanda, where you will stay in a private room in a private forest villa at the amazing One & Only Gorillas Nest. In the evening, you will meet the experts at the Gorilla Campus, Dian Fossey’s research center. The following day was spent tracking gorillas at Volcanoes National Park, where Dian Fossey spent her time in Africa and Rwanda studying these majestic primates. The gorilla guardians in the area, who were thought to be in charge, will perform a fantastic traditional dance for you in the evening.

Day 11-12: Volcanoes National Park-Akagera National park
After searching for golden monkeys in the Volcanoes National Park this morning, we’ll have lunch and head to Akagera National park

The drive lasts about 5hrs to reach the park. Arriving at sunset, you drive to a booked accommodation facility where you check-in, relax and spend the evening.

Day 13-14 Full day Akagera-kigal international airport.

Following breakfast, you explore the park with a morning game drive for about 4 hours. Some of the animals that can be seen include the big five game which is Buffaloes, Rhinos, Elephants, Lions, and Leopards. Other wildlife species include Giraffes, Zebras, hyenas, cape bushbuck, Topis, Oribis, roan antelopes, duikers, impala, cape eland, and many more. After the game drive, you return to the hotel for lunch then relax as you wait for a boat cruise. The boat ride on Lake Ihema offers great sightings of hippos and crocodiles in the water. Wildlife like Elephants and buffaloes can be seen on the shores of the lake. After the boat trip, you later transfer to a booked accommodation facility for check-in, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day; 14 Transfer to kigali international airport.

After your incredible morning breakfast, depending on your flight out of Kigali we shall have a quick stop over to the kigali genocide memorial center. then transfer to kigali international airport for depature. End of the tour.

What Should I Consider During This Trip?
Permits for tracking gorillas and chimpanzees are limited to eight per gorilla group per day and six per chimpanzee track per ½ day.
