Detailed Travel Plan
Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Depart Nairobi in the morning and travel south toward Amboseli National Park, passing through scenic countryside and traditional Maasai settlements. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive, exploring Amboseli’s open plains and swamp areas where elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and antelope are commonly seen against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
Begin the day with an early morning game drive, the best time to spot predators and enjoy clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to the lodge for breakfast, followed by leisure time. In the afternoon, enjoy another game drive focusing on elephant herds, birdlife, and Amboseli’s unique wetland ecosystems. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive northwest toward the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy scenic views along the way before arriving at Lake Nakuru National Park in the afternoon. Check in at your lodge and later proceed for a game drive around the alkaline lake, famous for flamingos, white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, and abundant birdlife. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru, focusing on rhino tracking and woodland wildlife. After breakfast, depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in the Mara in the afternoon, check in at your camp or lodge, and enjoy an evening game drive across the vast savannah plains, searching for lions, elephants, zebras, and wildebeest. Overnight in the Masai Mara.
Day 5: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend the entire day exploring the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives or a full-day safari with a picnic lunch. Your guide will track wildlife movements, increasing your chances of seeing the Big Five and, seasonally, the Great Wildebeest Migration. Visit river areas and open plains known for predator activity. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.
Day 6: Masai Mara to Nairobi
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and return to Nairobi via the scenic Rift Valley route. Arrive in the afternoon, marking the end of your safari adventure.
