Detailed Travel Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a relaxed evening or optional city orientation.
Day 2: Kigali City Tour → Nyungwe Forest
Visit key Kigali landmarks, including the Genocide Memorial. Continue south through tea plantations and rolling hills to Nyungwe Forest National Park.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking & Canopy Walk
Early start for chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe’s rainforest. Later, experience the famous canopy walkway suspended above the forest floor, offering panoramic views and birdlife sightings.
Day 4: Nyungwe → Volcanoes National Park
Travel north through scenic countryside, passing rural villages and terraced hillsides. Arrive in Volcanoes National Park in the afternoon.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Participate in the unforgettable mountain gorilla trek with expert rangers. Spend one hour observing the gorilla family before returning to the lodge.
Day 6: Cultural Village Visit
Visit a local community near Volcanoes National Park to learn about traditional music, dance, and rural livelihoods.
Day 7: Lakes & Countryside Exploration
Enjoy a relaxed day visiting nearby lakes and scenic viewpoints, ideal for photography and reflection.
Day 8: Return to Kigali
Transfer back to Kigali for departure.
