Seven Days A Comprehensive Itinerary for the Primates and Wildlife Safari in Uganda
Day 1: Transportation to Kibale Forest National Park and Arrival
When you arrive for your gorilla trekking and chimpanzee safari, our guide will pick you up from your Kampala hotel or from the Entebbe International Airport. Head west beyond Mubende to Kibale Forest, then proceed to Fort Portal, where you will pause for lunch. Arrive in the late afternoon after continuing on to Kibale Forest. Dinner and the night at the lodge of your choice.

Day 2: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest
Early in the morning, after breakfast, depart with the driver guide, who will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing. Following the briefing, you will be led by park rangers on a chimpanzee trek in this rain forest at approximately 8:00 a.m. Meeting chimpanzees in person and witnessing their everyday routines, such as playing, jumping, feeding, etc., is always an exciting and memorable experience. Other creatures, like L’Hoest’s monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and various birds, are also visible.
Return to the lodge later, eat lunch, and check out before starting the three-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is home to a wide variety of species.

Day 3: Launch Cruise & Game Drive
Get up early, grab a cup of coffee, and head out on a wildlife drive where you can spot some of the early risers along the Kasenyi route, including lions, warthogs, antelopes, elephants, solitary buffaloes, and birds. Head to the resort after the two to three-hour journey, eat breakfast and lunch, and then take the launch cruise in Kazinga Channel. One of the best things to do in the park is take a boat ride, where you may see animals like elephants, waterbucks, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes along the banks, and birds.
Go back to the lodge, change, have dinner, and spend the night there.

Day 4: Journey to Bwindi Forest From Queen Elizabeth
Following breakfast, start your drive to Bwindi by passing through the Ishasha area, where you can see climbing lions and a variety of other animals. You will see beautiful scenery throughout the route. Arrive at the park or lodge in the afternoon after eating lunch on the way. Savor dinner and spend the night.

Day 5: Mountain Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi, Transfer to Mgahinga in the Afternoon
Following an early breakfast, you will go to the park’s headquarters to register and join others for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking on your Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour. After this, you will spend between thirty minutes and three quarters of the day trekking with your guides through dense foliage and creepers in search of the Gorillas.
Although the densely forested terrain is quite dense, there are many animal tracks that cut through it, giving visitors access. You may see uncommon tree species, birds, and other primates throughout your hike. Before hiking back to the park headquarters, you will be permitted to spend an hour with the gorillas after you have located them.
Being with these stunning but endangered creatures is indeed an amazing experience. For taking part in gorilla trekking and helping to save mountain gorillas, you will receive a certificate.You will go to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, which is home to golden monkeys and gorillas, later in the afternoon.

Day 6: Trekking with Golden Monkeys and Transportation to Lake Bunyonyi
You will go on a golden monkey walk in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park after an early morning breakfast. You will identify the several monkey species in the area during this three-hour activity. Transfer from Mgahinga Gorilla National Park to Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s deepest and most stunning lodge, which is filled with numerous islands, later in the day.

Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi Canoeing and Departure
After enjoying breakfast in the morning, go kayaking on Lake Bunyonyi, where you may take pictures of this stunning body of water and chat with the locals. You then return to Kampala, stopping for lunch along the way. You will be dropped off at your Kampala hotel by the guide.
Note: You will not participate in the canoeing activity if you plan to fly out on this day; instead, you will use day 4 of the trip to snap pictures, since day 5 will only be used for the transfer. Additionally, keep in mind that since the drive takes more than eight hours, you must schedule a late flight.
