Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Begin your journey early from Kampala or Entebbe, heading southwest through Uganda’s lush countryside. Enjoy a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch and a brief rest before continuing to Bwindi. Along the way, admire scenic landscapes, rolling hills, and traditional villages.

On arrival, check in at your lodge for relaxation and dinner as you prepare for the next day’s gorilla adventure.

Day 2: First Gorilla Trekking Experience & Batwa Cultural Walk

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing with your ranger guide. Begin your first trek into the dense rainforest in search of your assigned gorilla family. The trek may take 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements, but the experience is worth every moment.

Once you find the gorillas, spend one magical hour watching them feed, play, and interact — an unforgettable wildlife encounter.

Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, visit the Batwa community for a cultural performance showcasing traditional songs, dances, and storytelling.
